Nearest I've got is a Francis Francis X1 coffee machine (google it!).

Similar style to Smeg stuff.

Oh, and a crap camera, sorry.

I've got a Smeg washer/dryer in one of my rental places, but I'm guessing that's not what you're looking for pictures of!

its for a market re-positing report. 85 pages of the most boring thing i have written

basically saying how the are in the stter and lost a million quid last year. falling sales, increasing expenses etc.

also they think they are seriously high end yet sell in currys and co op.. bit confused me thinks.

their brand ethos is technology with style. what technology? their stuff is ste and breaks down in minutes, hence why they don't offer a substantial warranty.

anyway its taken me about 100 hours over the last week and im pretty shagged now. just need some nice photos to fill in a few pages so it prints right.
then i can go to bed and get a proper nights sleep for once.

Sounds like you've got that spot on!

I told a lie before, two of my student houses have Smeg range cookers (I'm a nice landlord wink), but they're miles away....

The expensive smeg stuff isn't bad (although isn't great either), but the 'cheap' stuff is generally rubbish.

Although we seriously considered some Smeg stuff because of the style, in the end, the endless bad reviews put us off. Spent a bit more and went for less stylish, but much more reliable Miele.

Report sounds pretty accurate from my experiences of them!

yeh i have basically said they need to concentrate on one area i.e the higher end of the market but not the ultra high end, compete just above miele.

offer a 5 year warranty to improve customer trust in their products.

Sort out their distribution and promotion, Smeg have fking st loads of good products but you cant find them anywhere, in my currys they have 3 smeg products.
they just announced a deal with b&q, thats the wrong market for them! in 2004 they had a board bust up and 2 directors left taking with them some of their big distributors, royally fked them over, downhill since then.

Also they have won st loads of design awards but no one has ever heard that as they never publish it. Smeg by marc newson. amazing design.

anyway, i am now fed up of mintel and google as they have been my friend for the last few weeks. if i dont get a 1st for this im going to kill my lecturer.

My fridge is a smeg, but not the classic look I think you are thinking of, it's a very boring stainless steel, fridge shape. Lasted 11 years so far

depends which model... notice they dont offer a 5 year warrenty on fridges... wonder why? because they usually break before then.

other people now offer a 10 year one.

May I suggest wearing this when you present your report?

No, really, you don't have to thank me.
