SKY install in a listed building...

Anyone know of a firm in Hampshire/Surrey who can do the above? Despite being told that it was grade2, the sky installer today went into 'can't do it' mode...

My gf's parents live in a grade two listed building and sky installed in no problems.

strictly speaking you cannot stick a dish on a listed building without listed building consent.

The dish doesn't have to be high up, how about putting it on a separate pole?

You can't install a dish to a listed building, nothing stopping you having it fitted on a concrete fence post mind if line of sight is OK......

Sorry guys, to be slightly clearer... dish already up on a conservatory, and SKY are refusing to via the loft spaces or through walls... Does anyone know of anyone who will (legally)?

I expect the reason the sky guys won't do the work is they are too bloody lazy and it's not a straight forward job. They like to be able to whack a dish on the outside wall drill a hole and run 20' of cable to your box, job done in an hour. Anything more and they lose money.

Had virgin media installed in my Grade two listed property a few moths ago. Guys had no problem with drilling through walls. Not sure if planners will be bothered but they prob wont know. There was loads of old satilite cables and ariel cables that have been left attached to the outside of house which i have taken off since replaced by the one virgin cable which enters house 1m up from floor.
