Gas & Electric Suppliers

Moved house recently and British Gas has sent a letter saying that they supply G & E and let us have your bank details.

I'd rather go with a different supplier, so can I tell them to get lost and contact a different supplier?

Or do I have to go with BG first and then swap over once my account is activated?

You are not under contract with BG so don't see why you have to supply them with your bank details. Go on U Switch or some such and see who are cheapest for your new area.
