The hunt is driving me mad! I want a 100cm dual fuel stainless steel range cooker, ideally with just two big ovens (not lots of piddly ones) from a good quality company... and hopefully less than, or within haggling range of, £1000.

The internet gave me an overwhelming supply of information, but browsing 'Which?' reviews offered me the Belling 1000DFDO. Looks lovely and ticks lots of boxes, but discontinued a couple of months ago! Doh! My absolute fallback is the Leisure EB10FRX which seems to be a sensible reasonable quality cooker, but with too many ovens and I don't think it looks lovely! I did just find a Caple CR1200, which looks like the Belling and is near budget, but I know nothing about Caple, and having done so much blimmin research on the others I feel it would be very unsensible to just go for this on a whim! This dither factor is a family trait! Heeeeellllllppppp!

By the way, appliancesdirect, jualdomestics.com and 3pinsappliance.com stock the other bits and bobs I need, but I'm open to other suggestions!

Try Britannia http://www.britannialiving.co.uk/
Capel aren't too bad, if I recall, they are the "own brand" of a distributor called Maurice Lay. I can't remember who actually manufactures them (Italian)
Britannia is good quality, we have one & I would recommend.
I have an account with Maurice Lay so can sometimes pass on discounts.
Britannia you will do just as well ordering on line.

Hi Chris - Thanks for your help. I would certainly be interested to hear what discount might be available for a Caple CR1200. The prices vary madly across the web suppliers, but I'm worn out from searching, so if I can get a bargain on on of these I'll do it!

Someone just muddied the water further by suggesting the Baumatic PT2820SS... anyone comment on this?
