I'm looking for a venetian blind for the kitchen. Have been down to a local shop today and been quoted £140 for a good quality blind. I've had a quick trawl on the web and the prices are generally £40-£60 at www.hillarys.co.uk and www.englishblinds.co.uk. I don't mind paying more for quality but don't want to be ripped off. Has anyone ordered blinds from the net and can give their experience, or am I best to pay a bit more and go for a reputable local supplier. The £140 includes measuring up and fitting.

'The Range' works for me. Normal-size window about £12, and then some work with hacksaw and scissors to fit smile

Ikea sell them and a blind cutting tool that gives the nice shape to the end of the slats so you can get the made to measure effect.
