first i get this email.
Hi MUG
Understanding what broadband usage is can be a little confusing because you can't see it or feel it, but everything you do online takes up some of your usage allowance. Your Sky Broadband Everyday has a 10GB allowance, which is ideal for regular browsing and downloading. But if you're doing more on the internet like downloading music, watching TV online and sharing photos with family and friends, you may find your usage allowance isn't enough.
We've updated our usage policies
to make it clearer how the policies may affect you. But however you use the internet, you can be sure that in Sky network areas, we don't slow our broadband speed down at peak times - unlike other providers. If you have any questions about your Sky Broadband usage, you'll find answers in the FAQ
section on our website.
Keeping you up-to-date on your usage
To help you manage and keep track of your usage allowance, we'll email you to let you know if you go over your 10GB monthly allowance. We've also developed a handy online tool, which will allow you to track your internet usage online yourself, and we'll be writing to tell you more about this soon.
We'll start contacting you by email if you go over your usage allowance, once to let you know you've gone over your allowance, and then again to let you know you're close to it in any subsequent month. If you use more than your allowance twice within a 6-month period we'll automatically upgrade you to Sky Broadband Unlimited, which gives you truly unlimited usage and will be more suitable for the way you use the internet.
To help us to keep in touch about your usage, please give us your preferred email address. To do this, just click on the link below and this will take you through to My Sky
where you can manage your account and services online. You'll need your username to sign in, which is ANOTHER MUG and your password. If you've forgotten your password, just follow the simple instructions on screen.

Dear Mr MUGINS
Customer Account Number:00000000000000
Thank you for contacting Sky Help Centre.
On reading your email and accessing your account, can I explain Sky took the decision to reduce the monthly download allowance in view of the majority of our customers usuage on this package.
I do understand you are not happy with this. You may find you are not affected in your everyday use of your Broadband services.
Within the terms and conditions we can adjust your package even within the minimum term.
If the download allowance is insufficient you can always upgrade to our unlimited service at 10.00 (GBP) with any unlimited usuage allowance.
I hope this helps with your enquiry.
Kind regards
Helen
