Having grown up in a town with lots of 30s/deco style i love that, I have always dreamed of building my own 30 style house complete with all the period correct trimmings.

i went to miami and was blown away by some to the deco style they have there, some of the streets are sensory overload if you are into the style.

I think that would be a nice place if situated in Miami or Southern France.

I think for Middleton I would be wanting something like this:

We saw this house - very similar (bit larger) than one we viewed on Woodham Lane near Woking last year... they wouldn't negotiate at the time and later dropped to what we would have paid....internally and externally it needed a lot of work doing - our big issue was the main road but it was absoultely gorgeous.

Love Art Deco. Love it..

Another AD fan here, I love that style so classic and clean. That house the OP posted is fab!

Nice, the only issue I have is the fact that all the windows appear to be UPVC, which I would have trouble with in a house at that price level.

Love it. Used to live in a much smaller version in Brockley. There's a fabulous one on the way in to Harrogate (from Wetherby) which I covet and another on the coast in Cornwall near the new Padstow lifeboat station. And one for sale in Sundridge Park at the moment but way out of my range.

They had it on for £999,000 but dropped this year to £899,000

It's got a fabulous layout inside - did you look around? I love the corridor over the centre - but it needed completely redecorating and security would have been an issue (there is none). Also our biggest concern was how to deal with the windows (not double glazed and extremely damp - condensation). It also needed a new kitchen and completely tidying up outside - hence thinking it was well and truly over priced. Didn't like the main road given we have a variety of cats and children.

Still loved it and looking for something similar.
