Running cables inside the wall cavity
Discussion
Not easy I would guess. When we had the burglar alarm installed earlier this year I asked if the wire from the panel to the key pad and bell box could be hidden in the cavity. The distance between the 3 items wasn't huge yet it took him about 2 hours to do it.
I think the big problem he had with mortar that had dropped in the cavity.

Wasn't there a product that appeared on "Dragon's Den" that did exactly what you are trying to do. I thing that the punter had already marketed the product to BT for installing cables. I think 2 of the dragons invested...might be worth a search
Wasn't that for passing cables through cavities rather than down them? You'll need something like this
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/75807/Hand-Tools/Cab...
or this
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/67849/Hand-Tools/Cab...
or these ( they can break though if the angle is to sharp or they get jammed up )

Don't expect it to be easy though, running cables though voids can be a proper pain in the backside.
