Archway for hallway of Victorian house?
Discussion
Hi all, just bought a Victorian terrace and in the process of making it habitable. I'm a fan of period features and whilst the previous owners have left certain items in place, some are missing.
One such item is the archway in the hallway; I've even been into my neighbours to have a look at theirs (and to convince myself it used to be there) and I've run into a brick wall about how to get one into the house.
I found a place that makes them to order but it would be the best part of £1k. Does anyone know if it's possible to find these in reclamation yards, or will they be smashed to bits in order to get them out in the first place? I've even thought of trying to make my own using a wooden frame/plastics/plaster - is this a bad idea?!
Thanks in advance

Are we just talking about a curved archway in the hall area?? Pics of what you've got and what you're neighbour have got would help. Also dimensions.. Span, height, width..
From what you've described surely you could just stud something together? As it's not supporting anything apart from itself.
