Halfords Digi Calipers - Battery Replacement
Discussion
I've got a set of these (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_530639_langId_-1_categoryId_165469) calipers which I must have put back in the box still turned on, as the batter is dead as a dodo.
Does anyone have any idea of how I get in to replace the battery (assuming its possible)?

To the right of the screen is a panel with moulded horizontal ridges. Slide this panel to the right to expose the bat.Does anyone have any idea of how I get in to replace the battery (assuming its possible)?

Any idea what the panel on the side with the mini-USB shaped (sort of) slot is for?

It's for a computer based quality system whereby you can measure predetermined points on a part and the computer will give you a pass or fail once you've finished.
