I've got a lamp that broke a while back (daughter knocked it over) and the fitting that holds the (massive glass thing) in place has broken.

When put together, the lamp looks like this (it's away in the background in the corner:

This is the fitting broken down, but I don't know what it's called and where I might be able to get it from in the Rotherham area... Can anyone help?

This is it put together:

And this is the other side - as you can see, at the base, it's sheared off - that's the only part I need, but I reckon I'll have to get the whole thing...

True, but if I can avoid buying a whole lamp just for the fitting, I'd rather do that

(I will if I have to though....)

Do RS or Maplin not sell stuff like this?

You can get those lamps for about a tenner, get one you can use the cabling and fitting and make a light sabre out of the left over bits!

http://www.lamps2udirect.com/pages/browse-More-Lam...

Surprisingly, an even better range than CPC on this website.

Or just try cpc.co.uk

Well to be fair the lamp has lasted a long time so it wouldn't be so bad if the whole thing needed replacing; i.e. judging by the blinds that pic was taken in the 1960's...

wink

I've been to B&Q and, surprisingly, they had an exact replacement - £8 - so cheers to the B&Q guy who helped me out (and my mate who actually found the part - the smug git!)

And no, that was not the 60's - more like last year and the blinds are still up - it's the conservatory.... boxedin
