Sorry No!!! Proper BBQ's do not run on Gas! they run on wood and charcoal!

That's what this one runs on, the propane bottles to the left are the gas supply for the house (we're not in England)

The tall cabinet to the left is a smoker and the right hand side grill part now has a power rotisserie in it.

If Carlsberg did BBQs they would be crap, just like their lager....hurl

For simplicity, effectiveness and PHness, nothing beats the old oil barrel with a quarter cut out of it (rookie mistake is to half it, leaving yourself without a wind break), and some right-angled bar attached to hold a grill.

The OP's BBQ looks magnificent though..quite steampunk-ish (needs some brasswork and gauges!).

everything needs a gauge or dial - in the OP's BBQ, it would be a temp. dial with hot, very hot, and fkING HELL THAT'S HOT!!

Not a bad idea that.... paint it black, fit some nice brass gauges and away we go.

Oh Wow - that is simply superb bow

One question though - don't you have a temp gauge on the smoker ? How do you know when you've got to around 225F ?
