Help!

My boiler has packed up and the missus is going nuts because she can't have a warm shower (i used the last of the hot water to wash the car!)

Its a GlowWorm 30cxi, won't reset itself by turning on and off and the pressure is down at 0.4 bar.

Have opened the valve underneath that normally builds the pressure but this time its doing nothing.

Anyone any ideas?

There is two valves that need to be opened on those isn't there? Two little grey taps protruding from the bottom of the boiler?

They both need to be turned on to fill it and then both must be turned back off for the boiler to run. Fill to 1 bar.

Hope that's all it is mate.

You're the 2nd person to say that yet mine has only one blue valve protruding, yet it's definitely a 30cxi?

Fixed the valve, it was stuck closed! Now however the boiler fires up for about 1 minute after I switch it on and then displays a F1 fault message.

F1 means "ignition fault (lock-out) boiler failed to light"

There is a seperate code F4 for boiler goes out when lit so if it fires up for a minute then it's obviously got gas and ignition but doesn't seem to be sensing that it is lit.
Check the eletrode wires from the PCB to the burner, they are for ignition and also flame detection by ac-dc rectification. Also check that it's burning properly i.e that the flame is tight and bright blue and not lifting off the burner and therefore off the sensing electrode
