Seller accepts offer then withdraws....
Discussion
Recently put in an offer for a flat (Scotland) through solicitors which was accepted by the seller. After both parties solicitors had started to make arrangements, the seller backed out. Apparently, the sellers lawyer is obliged by law to drop them as a client, which has happened.
We think that the seller has backed out of the deal due to the possibility of another increased offer coming in.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of behaviour in the property market and is there anything we can do to force the offer and/or recoup fees etc?
Thanks

I thought that that was not allowed in scotland?
Ask your solicitor - you may be able to claim all costs from them.
No, stuff like that goes on up here is Scotland too.Ask your solicitor - you may be able to claim all costs from them.
Nothing is confirmed till the missives have been concluded.
To be fair tho, it is less common up here.
