I had some of the above mad up for my house, and fitted it myself by first screwing wooden baton to the wall, and then using "No more nails" to attach the skirting to the wood.
It worked well, but where the mitres meet on some of the edges, there are some small gaps.
Are there any ways that I can fill these gaps? Obviously if I use sealant, the white will show up against the silver coulour of the steel.

Does anyone have any good ideas or suggestions?
To clarify; the gaps are mostly where the mitres meet round features such as the bottom of the chimney breast, if that makes sense.
Also, to give you an idea of the shape of the skirting, a cross sectional is about 70mm vertical, then a 20mm horizontal return. I would add a picture, but dont know how to.

Cheers

Use some silver sealant instead of white. A quick google found this stuff:

Stainless skirting sounds interesting... would love to see some photos!

Can you not get corner mouldings that slot over the joins to finish them off?

Failing that, I do believe you can get metal coloured silicone... but it might look a bit cak...

It does look good.
I measured up the room and went to my friend who owns a sheet metal/fabrication business who made it for me.
I did think about having corner fittings made up, and might go down this route if the sealant doesnt work.
Ill get some photos and try to post them up here.

I'm sure you can buy some right angled inserts to go on the inside of the mitre. If not try a local stainless steel fabricator type bod
