Evening

I am about to have four spotlights fitted to my bathroom, the bath room measures 2000mm x 1700mm.

I shall have a bath running the length of the 1700mm wall with sink, toliet etc on the 2000mm wall.

Where would you position the lights? I had thought about 500mm on the diagonal (hope makes sense), as this will be in the middle of my bath. But will this create a dark area in the middle of the room?

I should add that my mirror will have a built in light.

TIA

Generally The distance between the lights is twice the ditance from the light to the wall, so 2m- 1000cm between lights and 500cm from wall

if done on the diagnol to the room I'd suggest altering the square the lights will be arranged in to suit, try drawing it out on paper, rotating the position of the lights until you are happy

edit
disclaimer lights need to be suitable for purpose, especially directly above the bath and within certain "zones" according to the wiring regs (17th) and installed to part p as they are in a bathroom (special location)

also need to miss any joists when planning

You can overcome a badly positioned spotlight by getting a different 'fan' spread of lightbulb. One of the sparks out there will know the correct terminology. i.e. 15 degree up to 45 degree etc.
