Rendering

I need to render the bottom of my shed, I broke away soem concrete and the old renderering came off.

Is it just a case of getting sand and cement and plastering it on?

I have heard adding PVA (glue?) is good also

What type of sand is recommended?


is it possible to buy a ready made 'perfect' mix? As I don;t need a hige amount

Any tips?

All the DIY stores do bags of mised render you just add water too. Should be fit for purpose. Adding PVA is a bodge fix but if it's not been added to the other render then you'll end up with a patch repair that works differently to the rest of the render. Not a huge problem though.
