Moving in a couple of weeks, contacted BB provider who said they can get the line put in for £105 (BT wanted £125 IIRC). OK fine, i then get an email saying they can't get the line put in because "the postcode and address you gave us does not match the telephone number in BT's records".

Urm, there is no phone line so how would BT have any records? I then checked the post code that was working fine a montn ago on Royal Mails site and now it says invalid.

FFS, how hard is it to get a phone line put in and mail redirected?

Any tips on how to get this sorted? I have contacted RM and asked them to verify the post code.

Not really it took about a year before some places recognised my post code.

I just got BT to connect the phone so I've not been through the loop you are in. For the sake of £20 it might be easier to get BT in and do the connection...

As for RM.... well the word Yeehaaa springs to mind.

TBH the only reason i asked the BB provider to do it wasn't to save £20 but so that in theory the BB and line would be activated on move day, otherwise it's 5 days apparently. I'll see what they say and then get BT on the job i think. Thanks.
