Correct order for house renovation!
Discussion
Unfortunately I'm one of those people who really needs to understand how things are done (and why!) and isn't really happy just handing over a cheque book and hoping for the best.
I've got plans drawn up for the renovation of our house - a 200sqm bungalow. The house is currently an empty shell. Just a roof and external walls!
This is what we need:
Partitions built
new windows fitted (alloy preferably)
decking
6m steel & opening wall of glass added
new boiler
underfloor heating (the slab isn't perfectly level so was expecting to put insulation down, then pipes on top and then level with screed on pipes). i'm guessing this could be done on a room by room basis.
New flooring (wood)
new bathrooms / kitchen
What order should it be done in?
Steels in
partitions built
first fit for wires/plumbing (i don't want anything on display so all must be built in to the walls etc)
UF heating laid with new screed
windows fitted
walls/ceilings plastered
etc..

Steels first
then windows and glass wall, the idea is to get yourself a wind and weatherproof envelope before doing internal works.
then screeds, partitions sit on top of screeds (if that's where they're going)
then first fix services
then plastering
then second fix services
flooring and kitchen bathroom suite
decking
edit: when you say screed, do you mean a levelling compound?
