My dad has a wind turbine that he's looking to sell. It's from Proven and generates 240v that can then be fed back into the grid. All very green but as he's moving to a flat he doesn't need it any more.

My question is how could you sell such a thing? All of the wind turbines on eBay seem to be made of lego and it's no exactly small so any buyer would need a lorry or long trailer.

Is there a Pistonheads type site for self build homes that I could advertise it on?

How about PH Classifieds for starters?

How big/tall is it, what diameter blades, and how strong does the wind have to be to power a typical house?

Perfect, thanks! It's probably about 30' high with blades something like 5' across. Not sure how much they cost but you should be able to get a grant to help cover the cost.

Once I get the details I'll post an add here and on Navitron.

The ad is now on PH, it's 11m tall and a 2.5kW unit. I won't link directly but give me a shout if you're interested.
