The place is a fking tip, inside and out?

I gues that's what the OP was hinting at?

It's not exactly horrendous; and I've seen far, far worse.

pretty much!
how the flipping heck, in this day and age, do people expect to sell a house for anything other than rock bottom if they don;t try in the slightest to present it half decently!
and if it's rented surely you;d wait to get the bu66ers out then tart it up then market it..???

I went to see an absolute monstrosity earlier this year, the fundamentals of the place weren't bad but the presentation was truly horrendous - the smallest bedroom was painted black, the second bedroom was so full of computers and tv screens that you could only just open the door and walk to the centre of the room, and I tripped over a phone cable that was masking taped across the upper landing, ripping it out of the wall socket.

I remember being angry that people could not be bothered to even clear up before showing a property, especially when they were still asking top money.

Can't wait to see what it went for in the end (big plot so had that going for it). Funnily enough, we ended up moving to the same street and when I phoned a local removal company they said they'd been asked to clear the house and had refused! Given how hard removal work must be to come by at the moment that shows how bad it was...
