Hi, we are currently renovating a house, rebuilding the whole of the upstaires with a view to rent the property out. It will be rented out as a three bedroom, end of terrace. Now I have the option of having either an extra shower or extra toilet upstaires in some spare space. The main bathroom, is a nice size, and will incorporate a bath/shower, basin and toilet. Now would you rather have an extra toilet, or an extra shower. Pro's and Con's please.
Thanks.

No, there is no downstaires toilet, and I knew someone would talk about using the shower as a toilet, just wasnt expecting it as the first reply. !!!

Then again, you can wait for a shower, but if you really need a sh8t what can you do?
It's a close one but i'd go for the extra toilet and sink.

My thoughts too. Then you can call yourself Two-loos Lautrec.

My vote would go on the extra loo,as pointed out you can wait for a shower but when you have to go you have to go.

I'd go for an extra loo if you're planning on renting to a couple.

'His' and 'Hers' - it's the only way. smile

Thanks for the replies. It only has one bathroom at the moment, this is in the first floor. I agree about ' when you gotta go, you gotta go '. But we are all adults, and should be able to hold it in !!

Sorry, it has three bedrooms, no downstaires toilet. The upstaires bathroom will have a toilet, and a bath/ shower combo.

So no extra bog. In which case, install one. smile

The extra toilet will be located right next to the bathroom which already has one though.

Not so sure. Like sometimes i go out for a jog after dinner, and no amount of sphincter-clenching is hold it in when i need to drop one. If someone is in the bathroom (and we know ladies can take an hour or so) then it's going to be a back garden job.

But i assume you don't bath/shower with the door open, and would probably object if someone needed to 'lay one' whilst you were enjoying your Radox moment? (I mean, i wouldn't but .. erm, get my coat ..)

I am having the bathroom done at the moment, so pondering over similar issues.

No matter, go for his 'n' hers bogs. It's a family home so a spare bog outside the main bathroom is essential IMO* Otherwise, how does the rest of the family go when someone's in the bath?

*Well, more essential than a spare shower.
