A quick Hips question

Other than that one might well have a 'proper' local search in it and be bound up more nicely there is unlikely to be any difference at all.
You are best to get the cheapest HIP you can find and go from there. Most Conveyancers I know do their own Local and only rely on the water search, particularly as many are now 6mths+ out of date. They can give a little heads up as to what to expect but really they are a waste of time and money.

We got a HIP for £185 from myhiphome. Easy to sort online, an energy surveyor came round within a week and the rest was completed a week later.
Get the cheapest you can from a reckognised supplier, then you will have covered your legal obligations for selling your house.
Your buyers might be able to save £48 on the water and drainage searches, but their solicitor will want to search everything else.
