Recommend a builder in SW London / Surrey

despite being in the worst recession since the 30s (or so we're told) i still can't find a decent builder who isn't too busy or will do 'small' jobs .. so if anyone had a refurb recently - heating, bits of kitchen plumbing and electrics, replacing doors) and was pleased with results, please forward on their details.

I can probably recommend one that did some work for a client of ours. He was near Sutton..

aha, i'm chatting to a builder from Sutton - might be the same guy. tbh there are quite a few in the Kingston area but you never know how good they are until ..

I'll see how i get on with the other Sutton chap .. Thanks, will badger you if he isn't up for the tasks. I'm doing house renovation in stages, to see who i can trust for the bigger jobs (bathroom, garage, extension) as i've had some bad experiences with builders who don't finish off what they've agreed to do.

He comes recommended, as I said, he did some work for a client of ours.

be clear about the work involved, and pick a builder with good feedback that communicates well with you. I've used it a few times, and only 1 bad experience out of 4 jobs (the builder didn't turn up when he said he would)
