I popped out at 7:30pm tonight (Saturday) to cut the grass and after half hour my neighbour came over to complain about me cutting it at an inconsiderate time.

Apparently, she had a stroke yesterday - yet still managed to walk over and give me a flee in my ear just now.

She also moaned about the noise my cars make when I'm driving in and out of our drive.

The person who complained often has noisy parties into the early hours of the morning, we've never complained!

I've had to stop now but I'm very busy tomorrow and out most of the day, so I'll be out there at 7:30am Sunday morning doing it instead of tonight rolleyes

Is 7:30-8:15pm an unreasonable time to use an electric mower?

Oh and why I'm cutting it is because it is just long enough for the same neighbours cats to come and st all over it which I had to clear up!

When it's very short they don't do it so much.

Usually where I was living was an unwritten rule of 9pm, unless something urgent.

Quite but she can't have her cake and eat it.

I work - unlike her - so I don't have all day, anyday to do it.

Get a v12 mower and cut the exhaust off just where the manifold ends. Perhaps she'll ask you to go back to the electric mower....

That or as people have said on here in response to some things, kick her fking face off. smile

Why did you stop mowing? I would of completely ignored her and carried on.

7.30pm is not an inconsiderate time imo.

It was 8pm by the time she got my attention (had my iPod and ear phones fitted) smile

Not sure how long she had been standing at the gate smile

You should cut the grass at 10pm tonight!

No. There's someone using a petrol mower in the house that backs on to mine now (8.45pm) although I did notice they waited until their neighbours, who were having a barbecue with friends, had gone in.

Sounds like our neighbours daughter, the other week her mum who lives next door to us had a stroke and had gone for a nap,and then in the afternoon my O/H and his brother were talking in the street and the daughter had the cheek to come out and tell them not to talk in the street in fear of waking her up eek chinky bint(she's a lush by the way),then later on we were watching Top Gear not loudly, and we heard this banging on the wall so we ignored it,a few mins later she knocked on our door having a go saying our TV was on loud which it was'nt,so we both gave her what for and she went off and has'nt spoke to us since.

She's not even next door, she's across the street.

Even our next door neighbours are not that close in proximity but are closer than where the complaint came from and none of the other neighbours have ever complained when I have cut the grass after 7:30pm, not that i do that often.

From what she said, I take it she doesn't like me working on my MG either rolleyes
Perhaps they'd like to go halves on garage bills instead of me working on the car.
Again, I'm not making a lot of noise working on the car very often either but it can be a bit tricky to balance twin carbs without the engine running rolleyes
