Temporary cooking solution
Discussion
So, we moved into our new house at the weekend and while we are very pleased with it, the kitchen needs an overhaul. It needs replacing throughout, but we'll combine that with some work to open it out by taking a wall out etc. There is no cooker or hob it at the moment. We will build all of that into the new kitchen, but while I'm doing the prep work for it, I need a temporary cooking solution which I may need to use for a couple of months.
Do I buy a 2nd hand cooker and use it? Seems a bit of a waste as it'll come out in about 8 weeks. Or should I try and get the hob and oven I want to use when we do the kitchen properly and get temporary units made up for them?
Or am I missing an obvious answer?

I never had a kitchen for 2 months while my kitchen got done up. We used the adjoining dining room (which was also to get done) and in there we put a microwave, a kettle, an electric frying pan, a George Fornby (my wifes words not mine ) and a camping stove. It's funny how easy you get used to stuff. Plus a lot of take aways. Saying that there were no children in the house.
Try your local area Freecycle. You could pick up something decent and usable for free

We also call our George Foreman "Formby" ;-) I was thinking about the electric pan, are they any good?
Had a look at Freecycle, nothing in our area at the moment but posted a "wanted" notice on it so will see what turns up.
If the summer was better I'd just BBQ everything but it's a bit tricky in torrential rain!
