Are there any WM engineers on here?

The wifes broke our washing machine, I've taken the lid off on found a loose connection at the wm end of the mains cable, now there is a "filter" at the end of the cable with toasted terminals, I'm going to clean them up and put new crimps on the end of the cables.

But, if that doesn't work, would I be able to remove the filter(temporalily till I get a new one) and link the cables together to get it going.

The model is WT540/1P.
