I can tell your not married, chainsaw on the carpet.... havent you got a shed?
I've got a shed but wouldn't even consider putting such a fine bit of machinery in it!!! Once it be out for a days work it'll be going in the work lock up but tonight its sitting proudly in the middle of the front room. I've got an 18" bar for it that I'll be using for regular felling work but the 36" bar (one in the picture) will be used for milling. Through my work I get a very good selection of wood on a daily basis so I'm planning on milling it to boards, drying it and then using it. Its going to be a year till the first lot of wood is ready to be worked so I've got plenty of time to plan what I'm going to make with it.

I used to use one of those with a 36" blade to cut dive holes through sea-ice. It was ok until you broke through and then you'd get sprayed with freezing cold water.
For someone who's going swimming in the Arctic, a little spray with freezing water is just a warm-up, no?Until I evolve gills and elctrically heated skin, I'm staying on land!

Unfortunately no as when cutting the hole you wouldn't be diving and so would be dressed in "normal" clothes. The seawater had a penchant for hitting you in the face and getting down your neck and up cuffs.Shaolin said:

It just needs a rethink:1) Change into diving gear
2) Cut hole, thereby impervious to splashes
3) Dive in
Blimey, I'm being tempted by some rachet spanners!
I feel soooooo inadequate!
But I do have 73 screwdrivers! Not sure why, just do. the danger of tidying my tool room is that I also find that I have 3 wallpaper steamers, 2 orbital sanders, 12 saws and about 2500 cable ties.
Even found a 1'2" spanner that I heated and twisted in 1977 to access the manifold to downpipe clamp on my 850 mini!
Am I alone in fondling tools and having happy memories come flooding back?
