My veggie patch is going well at the moment. I'm thinking that the onions, garlic, broccoli and cauliflower are going to be ready in a month or two.

So, what next? Once I've pulled up (and eaten) all those veggies I'm going to have a massive space from about mid summer onwards, so ideally I'd like to fill it.

Mrs Scruff and I eat pretty much every type of vegetable so what would be suitable to go in that late in the year?

Get stuff growing in the greenhouse now, ready to fill the spaces in the plot. You could always cheat and buy prepared young plants from the garden center.

As long as they are in by mid - late August, then Pentland Javelin new potatoes for lifting on Christmas morning.

Hmmm.

Got broccoli and cauliflower.

So most veggies are ok to go in that late into summer then?
