I'm getting a few companies round to quote extending my existing tarmac drive. I'll be needing around 25 square metres with associated edging - plus I'm assuming they'll have to dig down a bit as the soil is level with the surface of the existing driveway.

Does anyone have any idea of rough costs?

Normally you get paid to lay tarmac, not the other way around.

It is too small an area to give a guide price per m2. You'll mainly be covering the time of the installers.

Find a friendly guy on the council....who'll put you right when there's excess tarmac to be shifted....£250 cash payment ( only after the job's done).

Typical back hander biggrin
