Hi, I would be glad of any help/ideas on this one as I am stumped.

My sister asked me to look at a 'mark' on her laminate floor. If you can imaging the top hard layer is missing for an area about a 10p diameter, and the wood fibres are coming out in a 'crown' shape , a bit like a sea anemone.

Though this area is underneath the radiator, the radiator is dry, with no signs of any past leaks. About 2 ft away, there are a few water marks where the feed pipe goes up to the valve, but these are just stains, with no signs of swelling of the wood.

I cant work out what has caused this, the next thing is to prise up the floor, but sods law its all held down by the skirting, the tongue is facing the wrong way, and so it will be a PITA.

Help!!!

I have to say it sounds exactly like water damage.
