I dont have a huge garden but what I do have is 6 separate terraced lawns each separated by steps.

The lawns themselves are pretty bumpy ( dog, kids, and they seem to be a winter holiday camp for Moles). At the moment I'm using a petrol rotary but getting it between lawns is a pain.(literally, heart surgery)

I think I'd like a mulching mover, maybe a hover, has to be petrol.

Does this seem a reasonable idea? I'm hoping they might be lighter than a conventional.

cheers

I guess the heavy bit is the petrol engine.

I suspect that your petrol rotary has a steel deck and a 4 stroke engine.
If you can find a hover mower with a plastic deck and a 2 stroke engine, it will be much lighter.
