Has anybody fitted telescopic parking posts to their driveway (mine is block paved, so hopefully a bit easier than solid concrete?)? I'm interested in fitting a couple of ATG or Rhino posts as a deterrent. I'm keen on the telescopic posts as I'm sure the lift-out versions will be a total PITA to lug around and the folding versions look 'orrible (and probably fairly easy to hack around).

My biggest worry is that there are pipes or lines coming onto the property which will prevent digging the posts in.

The only alternative I like at the moment is the folding version which drops into its own recess.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

There are a lot on the market through hard landscping firms! depending on the lenght they do require a fair size! excavation! if your worried about underground services try and get info from service providers and hire out a cat and genny cable avoidace tool! and make sure you dig carefully by hand.

When you set the post in, surround the base of the postholder with some material that will act as a soakaway, otherwise the post will act as a piston, ejecting water usually straight in the face of the person using the post.
