As above really..

Looking at buying my first apartment and I am curently looking for estimates for running costs...

Flat is all electrically heated, top floor of a new build.

Estimates for electric & water bills would be great - I have been told around £90 per month all in but this sounds too low to me??

I have got fixed prices for Building Insurance, Council Tax, Phone, Mortgage, Service charges and TV licence - anything missed??

Thanks for reading folks!!

My small studio flat works out at roughly £30-35 a month on electric, think water is now £20 but its un-metered.

Ask the agent or the vendor for a copy of the EPC that should give you a pretty good idea.

Water on a meter £5 per month

Energy saving lightbulbs and appliances such as a slow cooker and electric steamer can get the cost of electricity down substantially. You also don't need to have water heating on every day since a well-lagged tank will stay hot for a day or two.

I know it's been mentioned, but again, it's worth stressing that you check the management costs. A lot of management companys chance crazy amounts - anything from a negligible £10/month to a good few hundred.

Depends how hot you keep the flat at and how much hot water you use.

My three bed Victorian flat in Newcastle cost me £40 a month in electric and Gas.

i can trump that. 4 bed victorian terrace, £180 a quarter for gas & electric, and that was my winter bill!
