Anyone who frequents B&Q for their DIY supplies may be interested in alternate suppliers I have found for some of their products.

Firstly, they do a quite pleasant range of stainless steel curtain poles called their "Colours" range. Quite expensive too. Unless you buy Rolls Neo poles and gubbins from Pole Workshop Direct which are identical and much much cheaper.

Secondly, they also do a wide range of electrical switch / socket plates in a range of finishes with nice rounded switches a dn a general higher-quality feel than your regular Screwfix stuff. But very expensive, unless you buy them direct from Gurney and White. What you want is the GET Ultimate range. Very high quality and cheap, e.g. cooker switch with 13A socket for £17 compared to £37 from B&Q.
