window company messed up my walls - needs decorating

Hi all, advice needed.

We needed to have some specialist film put on our glass lounge roof. We got home after the fitting to find the walls covered in dirty splashmarks. They had advised us to cover furniture but nothing else. Had they bothered to wipe it straight away it would have been totally avoided.

Room will need full redecoration. Cost about 400 last time (inc prep etc)

Now, they arent denying they caused it but are only offering £100 or that they will come and do it (dont especially want them back in the house really)

What should I do?

So they have accepted liability - was it in writing at all?

They should have insurance to cover this.

only on phone, apparently their insurance doesnt cover it because its not anything broken 9sounds fishy doesnt it.)
