Patio/Driveway Cleaning
Discussion
Having looked into the DIY side of it myself, I can offer the following (probably incomplete or flawed) advice:
Brush with a stiff brush to remove most of the surface greenery
Make a 1:5 solution of bleach and water, and water the area.
After a few days this will have killed most of the remaining moss and any roots.
Now you can pressure wash, keep the lance at as shallow an angle as possible to minimise the amount of sand you remove. Slow and steady.
Allow enough time to dry thoroughly
Re-sand.
Apply sealant.
Once it's sealed, it should be much easier to maintain, but will still need sealing once a year or so. If you haven't got the time, or aren't up to it, then get some quotes and let me know?
