Hi Folks, I am in need of a Sofa Bed for the spare room, but the only ones I've seen fall into the following categories:

a) comfy bed, dreadful sofa
b) comfy sofa, awful bed
c) dreadful sofa, awful bed

What I am really after is something that does both its jobs reasonably well... Is that too much to ask?

cheers

Yes, from the Futon Company. This one http://www.futoncompany.co.uk/oke-bifold.html.

We've had it three years as our main sofa in the lounge and I've slept on it numerous times when i've come in late and pissed in the kettle... wink

We bought extra covers as well, so you can pop one in the wash and use the spare to keep the base cover clean. It's also full length, so you can happily snooze on a Sunday afternoon while waiting for the actual F1 results to be posted a few hours after the race has already finished.

I recently got a sofa bed futon type thing and so far I would highly recommend them, much better than your standard sofa bed style stuff.

We got a leather one like this - (not from that shop though)

Its nicer than our leather sofa in the front room! The bed is VERY comfy, there's storage for the linen inside it, and the quality of the leather is miles beyond the DFS jobbies. Also, the bed is completely flat - none of that slight angle you tend to get on metal ones. The whole sofa comes apart into sections to make it much easier to get into your house too. Very pleased with it. biggrin
