IP55, 56 or 66?
Discussion
Next weekend's project is relaying part of the patio. Wifey has bought some external lights to be installed at the same time. The box says that they are rate as IP44 but I'll also need an external switch - which IP rating will I need for it?
This one looks like it will do the job but I noticed that there are also IP56 and IP66 options as well. Am I right in thinking that the lower the number, the better??

The switch you have linked to is fine. You are now into Part P territory so the work needs to be signed off by building control or carried out by a domestic installer.
