I know that when you move house you have to change your address on certain documents, such as your driving license, or face a fine of up to £1,000... but what about if you're renting short-term? Do you really have to go through all of this hassle every time you move or can you use a fixed address, like your parents' for example, for stuff like this until such time as you actually buy a place of your own?

I just use the parental address as a PO Box, hasn't really caused any problems, well except when being stopped by plod. Very occasionally. Except bills and insurance. And stuff that i don't want my mum to know about.
