Got a new kitchen and will need a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

They'll all be integrated bar the fridge freezer.

We're not looking at Miele stuff here, but a quick scan at Curry's reveals:

Fridge Freezer
Samsung RL345CSW £330

Dishwasher
Matsui MFI45 (need slimline) £190

Tumble Dryer
Kenwood KVT1I £245

Washing Machine
Indesit IWME12 £330

So about £1200 all in.

Has anyone got any experience of haggling with these type of people? I was surprised to see that the chap at Comet was happy to "do a deal" on the TV that we were going to buy.. I could buy our TV at Curry's as well as all the above to take it to a nice round £2k. Is that not a big enough sale for them to be interested in?

Anyway, does anyone here have any suggestions?

Haggle hard, start slightly lower than you want knowing they will barter, and offer to pay cash. Climate says good deal pending dude. If they won't budge then advise them you will go somewhere else, always works for me!

Go in store and be prepared to walk if you don't get what you want.

I purchased a Canon DSLR with a second lense, camera bag, tripod and a whole host of other stuff from Curry's a while ago, about £850 all in. Got them down to £55o in the end, about £75 less than i could buy it all from the net.

But definitely do your research first. Curry's will price match (although not against everyone), so take proof of the online prices you've found

Sign up with Quidco before searching online for the appliances. You'll probably end up getting a few quid back.

TRy COD in altricham They will deliver anywhere and you pay when the stuff arrives. Speak to Chris and get him to price match.

Try co-op electrical. Was pleasantly suprised at the prices and service.
