Looks like a tinfoil barb to me:

Big fish, if I ever do go for a decent size tank (biggest I've got is a collection of 180's, 90's and 65L's) I'd love a few of them.

I wouldn't there hungry fella's. My tanks 125 litres but i haven't got many fish in there at the moment, mainly because this one tends to like his live food. http://www.seriouslyfish.com/profile.php?genus=Bar...

Yeah, its one of those fanciful ideas for an imaginary time in the future when I have the a) time to get a decent big tank, b) the room to setup a fish room and c) the money to finance both.
I would have a bigger tank but far in to the future. I read there the fish really requires a tank of 790 litres
the name of the fish is "tinfoil barb" the scientific name is "barbodes schwanenfeldii". they can grow to aprox 40cm and require a minimum of a 400 litre tank to flourish. They also like plants in the tank. they also like a ph level of 6.8. You could try feeding it bloodworm, but any fish that are mouth size it will eat. also try ornaments that the smaller fish can get in & out of to hide.

Defo a tinfoil barb, had 2 of them in a tank and they ate everything. Was left with a massive plec that they couldnt eat and a few corrys that they couldn't get in their mouths - not for want of trying, caught one with a corry stuck in its gob - was a swift sale to the fish shop for them after that.
