Mortgage Question

I'm out in Dubai and looking to buy one or more properties in the UK in the next 6 months or so depending on the market.

I'll be able to put down at least a 30% deposit, more if necessary - do you think I'd have any problems gaining a mortgage/s?

I didn't think so - I would have thought that sort of LTV would keep the banks happy. Won't have any UK credit history to speak of though.

Its a case of proving who you are, where you are, income etc.
Assuming you dont try anyhting underhand its not a huge problem. Just a question of picking the right lender.

Ah, ok - that's not a problem. Wan't to keep it squeeky clean and all that.

We have HSBC accounts over here as well as others so they would look favorite if they have good deals.

I dont think they do at the moment for BTL. And I'm actually not sure if HSBC Uk could see HSBC UAE's accounts, but as i say shouldn't be a problem.
