Hei folkens,

Time for a new shower enclosure. I want one that doesn't need silicone to seal it, isn't held together by a bunch of visible fasteners, and has a 900mm x 900mm base.

Please.

Any reccomendations?

Cheers,

FT.

For my wet room.

Some sort of wood base used - marine ply i think.

Then a thick membrane over the top - like you get in hospital floors, this goes say 3inches up the wall.

Then tile the walls and ceiling.

Wood slats for the floor.

fk off huge shower head

even bigger fk off powerful pump

massive fk off hot water tank

job is done.

I had a shower put in, it came in two peices (as do most showers for remodels as opposed to those for new construction). A lower half, floor section which included two seats, it stood about 20" high. The upper portion overlapped the lower by about four inches.

There is no visible silicon beading on the inside of the shower except a minimal amount round the drain.

I doubt you will get a decent one peice shower that would get though your existing doors. Ie front door, bathroom door etc.

It's possible you could get a no cat swinging one, measure your doors.

Don't buy a cheap plastic base, they bend when you stand in them and water gets behind the seal. Buy a resin-stone base with upstands around the rim, then tile over the upstands.
