Just wondering if anyone else here keeps fish.
I have a 280 litre tropical tank at the moment, its my first tropical tank ive kept and seems to be going fine at the moment.
got 2 Platinum Gourami's, 2 Angelfish, 1 Ruby Shark, 3 Kuhli Loaches and 4 Guppies. The guppies are going to be moved to a smaller tank soon for fears the angelfish may eat them when they grow larger.
also seem to have had a mysterious appearance of some snails, think they hitched a ride on one of the plants we got.

quite interested in getting a marine tank at somepoint.

I've got a smallish tropical tank; not sure how big it is, because it's 3 hexagonal tanks with joining pipes between them. I've decided not to restock the fish if any die - however, the black lacetail mollys keep on breeding, so I've not needed to (was down to 3 fish about a month ago, but now back to about 15).

The bloody snails will take-over if you don't do a bit of serious culling right now. EXTERMINATE!
That marine aquarium is very cool.

That marine tank rocks, I just showed my little goldfish and they didn't seem interested though.

Run 2 tropical tanks, and in the big tank I have just had about 50 Bristlenose Plec babies make their way into the mainstream...One of the very few tropical fish where the males practise parental care to their young.

Will cut down on food for the rest of the tank for a few days at least.....

Not to mention the bill for the heater.

Personally if I had the coin to build something like that it would be a marine tank I can dive / snorkell in biggrin

I'd say quite easy, just possibly a bit more time consuming. The filters will be quite easy to work on and the larger the volume of water, the more stable it will be.

The blokes also paralysed from the chest down...

Used to keep tropical, wanted to step up to marine but never was brave enough, given up now.

I still have my tropical, 6 years and counting now.

I still regularly get an influx of green sludge which is annoying. I think getting to the bottom of it will require a start from scratch.

That marine tank looks fantastic, more natural than some which just seem to throw as many fish at it as possible.

One thing I regret doing was using stones to line the bottom, wish I had used sand.

Dave!
