I've used Gorilla Glue (original) and it's lasted about 3 weeks before the base and bath have separated when cleaning it.

Can anyone recommended a product that is much stronger? A friend has recommended EVO-STIK.

You need something flexible. I’d look at CT1 and like products

Having just taken a wall of tiles off, I’d say shower proof tile adhesive…

I’m absolutely shattered and amazed at how well it was all held on, particularly as it was me who haphazardly put them up 4/5 years ago!

I think trying to butt joint stone is going to be difficult to make last - moisture will get between the glue and the stone because its porous and cause the joint to fail eventually.

Are you able to drill a few holes in each part, so you can glue in some rebar/all thread/cut down bolts? Because if you can, you can fill the holes with something like this and join the two parts with a glue/metal combo:

As per the last two posts you need a two part anchor resin, especially if you can combine it with some studs/bar.

I ended up going with Sticks Like st (I didn't realise this was Evo-Stik) and it's held just fine for a while now. Taking extra care when moving it around to mainly lift it from the base.

Is JB-Weld available in UK? It basically permanently sticks anything to anything!

Careful with those 'CT' products. It would appear that different colours have different properties. I believe that transparent CT1 is not suitable for outdoor use or some such.

It's probably too late, but the answer to these questions is always Araldite (other epoxy resin adhesives are available).

Yes, it is available. However, I don't understand how OP has gone wrong with Gorilla.

My suspicion is that the "stone" is weaker then the glue. If you drill key-ways into the hidden surfaces of the stone before using the glue it will almost certainly give a more robust bond.

Yes, my bird bath was fixed with Gorilla some while ago and it's still standing.
