Thanks. I mean solid surface / acrylic. Is that the same skills and tools as for timber?

In my experience it's considered to be a specialist job, as if you treat it like wood it'll chip and you'll get a really poor finish.

Fundamentally a chippy should be able to do it, but they'd want the right blades, experience and a willingness to tolerate the horrible plastic mess that it generates.
