Is this because I mentioned "controversially starting on the bottom deck" in the Juvenile sniggering thread?

Bottom first to save anything in the top getting excited and juicing over anything below

ETA: I detest those cutlery trays for some reason. Basket for me

Usually bottom first, then top and finally cutlery tray. Unless I need something out of the top, then I'll do that one first, makes life a bit more exciting! Our new (this year sometime) one is our first with a cutlery tray - i hadn't actually noticed it had one till i was installing it. I was a bit unsure at first, but now like it as if you fill it correctly it's easier to unload, all the forks in one hand and so on.

I’ve literally never given this a second thought. You all have a strategy for emptying a dishwasher ?

Half empty it, leave door open and walk into it 5 minutes later.

Of course you do it from the bottom up. Infuriates me the wife does top down.

Bottom up means any drips, water residue etc on the rows above don’t drop on the items below as you pull the trays out.

Open door, shake shelves and leave for 5.
Bottom, middle then cutlery tray to prevent water dripping on dry places below when you move a cup or something.

Anything else (or worse, no strategy at all) is incorrect.

You have water left when it's finished?

Top down, no chance of water dropping on anything underneath as I know how to stack it properly and Miele dishwashers have a proper drying cycle.
