DIY See Through Slat Wall - What Slats ?

I have knocked the entrance hall out and the kitchen through to the dining room

I love the openness but don't want to see the front door from the dining room so I would like a slat wall entrance hall - not one of the sheet type as I want to be able to see through it at certain angles

I've mocked it up and I think 3x1 size would be ideal but I'd rather not paint 100 2.4m slats on 4 sides

I've googled but can't find anything suitable, all the individual slats I've found are at best finished on 3 sides can anyone suggest something ?

I'm open to painted, veneer etc bigger or smaller within reason

It will take less time than you think. As another option, oiling wood tends to be quicker than painting.
