Painting a Rainbow
Discussion
I recently made the mistake of creating a starry galaxy mural on my eldest daughter's bedroom wall. This was very straightforward and involved only some dark blue emulsion (which I had leftover from our cloakroom) and some star decals I bought on Amazon. Unfortunately, my youngest daughter saw this and took it as an invitation to ask for something more involved for her bedroom...
So I'm now tasked with painting a rainbow on her wall (4m wide and 2.35m tall). The actual artistic piece is fine but the piece I am struggling with is where to buy smallish quantities of ROYGBIV paint. I don't want to buy 2.5L pots and have huge amounts leftover (which I will never use) and I don't think tester pots will be large enough.
So... Is there anywhere I can get 500ml tins of normal emulsion for walls? I've looked in the usual places and am coming up short.
TLDR: Where do I buy rainbow paints in small quantities to keep my 6 year old daughter happy?

Your heart set on emulsion?
TBH I'd use spray cans for this or alternatively art paint, you can get ready mixed colours for about £2 for 300ml (iirc) in hobby shops; white base layer then paint over, jobs a good 'un.
No not set on emulsion - I had just assumed that would be the best option. Art paint is a good shout!TBH I'd use spray cans for this or alternatively art paint, you can get ready mixed colours for about £2 for 300ml (iirc) in hobby shops; white base layer then paint over, jobs a good 'un.

I bet you can buy wall art that just sticks to the wall and comes off easy if you want to move it or get rid at the end
We had one of a tree with animals and birds years ago -- it was great - got moved a few times for wall colour changes and never left any marks
Wasnt expensive either
You can (we also had the tree at an old house) but they tend to be a little smaller. The room is quite large (this is the smaller wall) and so I want to do a big oneWe had one of a tree with animals and birds years ago -- it was great - got moved a few times for wall colour changes and never left any marks
